The problem?

Menstruation is still taboo; these conversations are usually whispered. By not talking about periods, we reinforce the idea that it should remain hushed.

slang words for period exist.

countries have euphemisms for the word period.

  1. A conversational app

The primary solution was to come up with an app that allows women to discuss, engage, and ask questions regarding menstruation.

  2. Personalization

It was important to create a personalized user experience for each woman on the app to successfully share her story.

  1. Categories

To become comfortable saying "period" out loud, the device microphone is on, ready to record audio responses. Users select a menstruation category and take it from there.

  2. Sharing Responses

Users that choose to contribute an anonymous response simply record their piece and share it to social media and/or the community section of the app. Engaging in a live chat will pair users so they may discuss the prompt on the screen.

The stigma has many layers, so we chose to address the idea that women don't freely talk about periods in the first place.
